DESCRIPTION
Six weeks of fun including friendly team games and weekly themes challenge and build your artist's creativity. Students learn about and produce contemporary art according to weekly themes. View your artist's work at the professionally installed Annual Summer Art Camp Exhibition on August 13.
Ages 5-12
Weeks & Themes:
Week 1: June 27 - July 1. Utilitarian: Students explore art and function by creating their own tools, objects, and artwork that can actually be put to use.

Grades 1-2: 1 Spot left.
Week 2: July 5 - 8. (4 days) $220/week for members and $280/week for guests. Micro & Macro: Students study different contemporary artists that stretch the boundaries of the canvas. From miniatures to large scale projections, students will play with the limits and possibilities of size.

Week 3: July 11 - 15. Pop Culture: Using painting, drawing, and sculpture, students will appropriate various trends in popular culture to give new meaning to celebrity, personality, spectacle and entertainment.

Week 4: July 18 - 22. OP Art (Optical Illusions): Students investigate, imagine, and create their own illusions on paper, canvas and photos.
Grades 3-4: 3 Spots left.
Week 5: July 25 - 29. Wearables: Students turn their favorite art into fashionable items to be worn and used. The week will culminate in a deLux fashion show.
Grades 3-4: 1 spot left!
Week 6: August 1 - 5. Paper It!: Students will make their own paper, learn paper cutting and paper sculpture techniques, and experiment with non-traditional applications of paper in various projects.
