Types

REsidency sponsorship

The artist residency, which brings artists from all over the world to live and work at Lux, is at the heart of our mission to provide access to living artists as they create new works and to develop project-based education programs that promote exploration, experimentation, and discovery. By sponsoring a residency, your company makes it possible for up-and-coming and seasoned artists alike to explore their creativity, for the public to watch the creative process unfold, and for young artists to learn from educational programs based on each residency.

AN EVENT

Get involved by sponsoring a Lux event in support of the museum’s mission. The annual gala and other celebrations provide critical financial support to Lux, foster a better understanding of the arts in the community, and are a whole lot of fun.

UNDERWRITE A PROGRAM

Help a Lux program flourish and enjoy positive exposure by underwriting an exhibition, education program, or special opportunity. Education programs like The Valise Project, Lux Teacher Program, and popular Lux Summer Camps serve families, schools, and students of all ages. Exhibitions and special opportunities bring acclaimed local and international artists to Lux and set the foundation for our education programs.

JOIN WITH LUX

Host a Lux-focused event at your business. We will work with you to design an entertaining experience that showcases your commitment to the arts, raises awareness of Lux’s mission and programs, and inspires creativity among your staff.

COME TO LUX

Deepen relationships with customers, clients, and employees by hosting private events when the museum is closed to the public, after-hours viewing of exhibitions followed by dinner or a reception, daytime lectures, viewings, guided tours, or another occasion that suits your company. The Lux campus is a beautiful, unique space for entertaining, with two separate buildings, a tranquil garden and an inviting open-air amphitheater, all located on a five-acre parcel overlooking the San Elijo Lagoon and surrounded by a wildlife preserve that stretches two miles to the Pacific Ocean.
